I am in New York and expressed my objections to both out Senators Charles Schumer and Hillary Clinton and our house rep. John McHugh. I promised if they sell out our future, I would vote against all three in future elections. I think all Americans should do the same thing.

The only one to respond was Clinton. From my past postings, you all know I was a strong supporter of Hillary. I am withdrawing that support. I plan to vote her out the first chance I get. I also plan to do the same for all of them. Here is the response I received today from her defending her vote. We are all seeing now how this blank check is useless and has done nothing.

Thank you for your views on the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008. I appreciate your concern and I welcome the opportunity to respond.

The market turmoil over the past month has exacted a heavy toll on Wall Street and unfortunately, now the crisis has spread to Main Street. What began as a wave of mortgage defaults and foreclosures limited to risky subprime mortgages quickly unraveled into a national housing crisis, driven deeper by complex securities designed to hide unacceptable risks and irresponsible investments. We soon learned that the losses from those mortgages created a ripple effect engulfing not only the irresponsible mortgage lenders and the banks that wrote their loans, but also our largest financial institutions and nearly every segment of our financial sector.

The normal credit markets ceased to function with banks unwilling to lend to each other and soon ordinary businesses and consumers were unable to secure the lines of credit they need and rely upon to survive. The lack of standard market functioning and the cascading collapse of financial institutions have had a devastating impact on all Americans. Our economy lost 159,000 jobs this past month alone, and we are on the cusp of a recession that threatens the entire nation with manufacturing, auto sales, retail sales, and economic growth all on the decline. America is currently undergoing a severe threat to our nation's economic security. Businesses are finding it hard to receive credit, limiting transactions and preventing salary disbursal. Pension plans and other retirement accounts have lost a great deal of value due to falling investor confidence and market manipulation. Several of our nation's largest banking institutions have failed or were forced to reorganize to survive. Hardworking Americans are unable to keep up with their mortgage payments and face the threat of losing their homes.

Swift action was needed, but it was clear the Treasury Department's original plan was a blank check to the banks that enabled this crisis. I worked with my colleagues and I am pleased that Congress mandated additional oversight controls and installed accountability measures so that the Treasury Department's rescue program is run effectively and responsibly. The bipartisan legislation allows for a variety of options to address the crisis, including expanding the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp (FDIC) guarantee on bank deposits, an option for capital injections to healthy but vulnerable banks that serve our communities, and many important tax breaks for struggling homeowners. The legislation also includes tax provisions I supported which enhance energy research and development, to end our dependence on foreign oil, and adjustments to help middle class families with home heating bills and protect them from the alternative minimum tax (AMT). As a result, the Federal Reserve has begun paying interest on commercial bank reserves and will extend billions of dollars in its loan program to impacted banks.

As Senator from New York, I have seen thousands of my constituents lose their jobs. I believe that enacting these measures was a difficult but necessary decision to prevent tens of thousands more from losing their livelihoods, but it is also clear that we must do more to help the middle class, create more jobs, and regain economic stability. I have proposed several initiatives to bolster the economy and help families navigate these difficult times. I believe establishing a Home Owners Mortgage Enterprise (HOME), allowing home owners and mortgage companies to renegotiate the terms of home mortgages, will help families keep their homes through affordable payments. A similar program helped prevent widespread home loss during the Great Depression, and we must take action now to keep families in their homes and prevent the housing crisis from deepening this economic downturn.

We must also develop a broad strategy to stem job losses and support small business owners as the market adjusts in the coming months. I recently called on the Department of Labor to approve a grant allowing New York State to study the impact of the ongoing economic crisis on working families. These steps will be an important beginning to our nation's difficult recovery process, and I pledge to continue representing the workers and families of New York and America. Moreover, I have called on the President and the Treasury Secretary to create a $250 billion "Emergency Stabilization Fund" to make emergency loans and establish temporary lines of credit for small businesses, to allow schools and universities to have short term access to funding to reduce the pressure on tuition, to increase direct loans to students as private lending has dried up, and to help stabilize our state and local governments, enabling them to provide essential services while reducing the pressure to increase property taxes. Finally we must pursue long term market reforms to curb the excessive risk, rampant speculation and irresponsible lending and borrowing that began this crisis.

Again, thank you for your letter regarding our economic challenges ahead. I hope you will share your thoughts and concerns with me as we continue to address this important issue before the United States Senate. For regular updates, please check my website at http://clinton.senate.gov.

Sincerely,

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton

Obama equals Socialism

Barrack Obama, the great hope of the little guy. I that true? In my opinion and by hearing and reading his policies, I see nothing but an big idea to turn our great nation in a socialist country.

If you have followed any of the nations in the world that were based off a socialist economy, they failed. The core base of Communism was based off socialist theories and we all seen where that ended up.

It is your job to take care of YOU! Do you really want a government who tells you ever move to make and control how much you can earn. Look at Social Security. It is a financial disaster and that is a huge socialist policy. We have senior citizens that are eating Alpo. Why? Because they believed the government propaganda that made them believe that Social Security would give them a comfortable retirement.

These are scary times. Not because we have a collapsing ecoonmy. Because we are scared into thinking that it is failing. The economy is cyclic and will recover, do not allow your government to change the free market economy onto a socialist republic.

Vote who you think is best for you. Though Online gambling is no longer allowed for the United States, there are still cool sites for other countries. I check out one of them that is an awesome guide.

The German site www.casino.de is a great guide for those German people who wish to learn how to play poker, blackjack or one of the many Online games. They have some cool video trainers that show you how to play roulette and video poker. They show the stats and explain the rules. This is very helpful for any player from the novice to the professional.

The site www.casino.de has so much information and guides that it would be impossible to tell you all that they offer. Some of the cool features include free slots games that offer cash prizes. They also have a beginner guide that answers all the question you would have regarding Online gaming. From where to play right up to the tax consequence, this guide is a great resource to read prior to any Online gambling.

I checked out their Casino reviews and it gives you great insight into the different Online casinos and what each of them offer. I spent over an hour checking out all the information that is available on this site. If you are new to Online gambling or just want to sharpen your skills, this site is well worth the visit. Just remember, it is in German!

I found this site well designed and easy to navigate. It loaded quickly and the whole design flowed well. I personally am no longer into Online casinos. However, if I still played, I would check out this site just for the shear wealth of information. There is something for everyone.

Free Ads At Stumble Here

It is always exciting when you are looking for something and you find what you are looking for. Stumble Here is a site where you can Post Free Local Classified Ads to attract a wide array of buyers. It is also a great way to look for bargains.

I recently went on a search for a new Honda. I love the cars but they hold such a high resell that it is hard to find one for cheap. Once I checked out Stumble Here, I was found what I wanted with in 40 miles from my house. It turns out that it was in really good shape and was cheap.

I wanted to blog about this site because it was unique. Not only did they offer free ads, they also offered Articles about different categories and why people place certain kinds of ads. It was very informative to read and very unusual for a free classified site to have content like this.

This site is easy to use and takes just a few minutes to list you ad either nationwide or locally. I was impressed with the quick loading site and the design is well done. I have included a few links so you can check it out for yourself. The effect when you first visit the site gives you a rush as a roaring race car comes flying by. The site is not completed and some of the links are still not working but I am sure all that will be fixed by time this site is publicly released. They will include music, videos, a store and more all connected to the Hype Energy Drinks.

Ihype.com will even be offering ring tones and screen-savers to bring the power of Hype to your phone. This looks like a great website and I look forward to the full official iHype.com Lauch. I recommend that you check out this website and see for yourself. Yesterday was another split decision as Obama took North Carolina and Clinton took Indiana. It is looking like the Super Delegates will decide the outcome.

I am amazed that through all the controversy surrounding Obama, the press still loves the guy and people are still blinded by his charm. North Carolina was no surprise because of the large black vote. However, other parts of the country surprise me as it is clear that even if Obama himself was not a racist, those around him clearly are.

There looks like little chance that Clinton will pull out the nomination. With such a small win in Indiana, I see little chance for her to pull out a major comeback.

What is your thoughts on last nights primaries?

Obama Can't Erase the Past

Obama came out the last couple of days and tried to distance himself from Wright, his former Reverend. Seems to me that just a short while ago he was standing by him now as the pressure is on, he is stepping back and cutting ties. I am a big believer that you can not erase the past.

Comments made by both Wright and this comment, “People in this country are ready for change and hungry for a different kind of politics and … for the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback” made by Michelle Obama really shows the true side of Obama. He can say all the right words and polish up and kiss up to all Americans; however, I believe the true nature shows through. He may has mesmerized many people but I think his squeaky clean image is starting to fall.

I for one am not impressed by him, his wife or Wright. You can not be associated with a religious leader for 20 odd years and not share some of the same ideology. Racism is not just a white against black thing, it effects all races and I believe Wright speaks the true ideology of Obama even though Obama may try to speak all the right words to please the masses. Wright has stated that Obama is just saying what needs to be said to get elected. If he really did not share Wright's ideology, why would he have stuck with Wright all these years?

I believe that North Carolina and Indiana has the chance to do the right thing by voting for Hillary Clinton. I for one will vote for Hillary in November but I refuse to give a vote to a man who supports such a radical ideology as Obama does.

Democratic Primary Still a Fight

It is getting close to the end of the race and we still do not see a clear winner in the Democratic Primary. Just when it looks like Clinton will fail, she ends up with a big win. The Pennsylvania Primary proved that she was not quite out of it but she has a long road to run. Obama seems to be a much bigger threat than I would have predicted.

Hillary is now courting the Super Delegates by convincing them that she is the only one who can beat McCain in November. I tend to agree with her. I do not see the lily white Republican men flipping sides to vote for Obama. I think race will be a much bigger issue in the general election than it was in the Democratic primary. The fact that McCain and Clinton both have much more experience will also way more in the General election.

I have seen way to many things that I do not like about Obama. His slick smooth talking manner is overshadowed by both his inexperience and his questionable character. Comments from his wife and former pastor also way into the fact that i for one will not vote for him. As much as I dread the thought of Bushism being carried on by McCain, I am more worried about what Obama will do or not be able to do as president.

I think Hillary is the only chance to beat McCain. I thought this would be a valuable review for my readers because saving is very important and it is always good to have a choice when it comes to savings.

WaMu offers a variety of Savings Accounts to meet the needs of every member of society. The first account I looked at was their Online Savings Account. This account can be started for as low as $1. If you tie the account to an online checking account, you will receive the best rate of interest. This account offers many online services and even access to many ATMs.

The Savings Accounts that were offered was the statement savings account. This is just a traditional savings account similar to those offered at a local bank. If you tie this to your WaMu checking account and do an automatic savings transfer, you will avoid all monthly fees.

WaMu does not stop at the basic savings accounts; they offer a vast array of other saving options. They offer three different options when it comes to CDs. The first, the online CD, is the highest interest and all transactions are done online. The next in line is the traditional CD which is a little more flexible but offers a lower interest rate. The final options is the liquid CD and that one offers the flexibility of making both withdrawals and deposits during the time of the CD without penalties as long as you do not go below the minimum balance requirements. These all offer competitive rates equal or greater to your local banks. They offer the ability to do your banking 24 hours a day with no hassle waiting in lines.

Other savings options include retirement accounts and retirement CDs. WaMu is a full service bank that offers all the other features of any major bank. From savings to checking to loans, they offer an alternative to the limitations of many local banks.

Comparing their services to other online banks, I discovered that their savings rates were a little lower than some other online banks. However, WaMu makes up the difference by offering a lot more services than many other online banks. If you open a checking account with WaMu, they offer many savings options without monthly fees. If you have a checking account, they will also issue you an ATM card that can be used anywhere and allows access to both your savings and checking accounts. Wamu is a full service bank that also has real branch offices but gives the flexibility of having your own personal bank right in your home or office.

Savings is directly connected to convenience and WaMu is a great source to make it convenient to save. When starting a savings account, I highly recommend making WaMu your bank of choice.

New York's Top Crime Fighter Falls

Eliot Spitzer was Attorney General of New york Prior to becoming Governor 14 months ago. In that time, he made it a mission to attack crime. He used strong arm tactics to get his way in fighting against corruption and crimes. He was called Eliot Ness of New York with his incorruptible and squeaky clean. He was going to fight the mob, prostitution, company wrong doings, and other serious crimes. He has this same persona as both the Attorney General and the Governor.

Well earlier this week, we learned that this once thought of great man is not as great as we all thought. Even though he was married with children, he was using a very high class prostitution ring. Estimates are that he spent $80,000 on such services.

This is the biggest slap in the face for the citizens of new york who overwhelmingly voted him in as Governor. I was one of those people and I am totally disgusted by this man. I am not stupid nor do I think he is the only politician who uses such services and cheat on their wives. The difference is that this man spoke out and portrayed himself as above all that. He was the choir boy of New York Politics.

He was just plain stupid to think that he could get away with this. Not only did he need to worry about the law, he made several enemies who were watching his every move. I can only characterize him as a sleaze bag who though highly educated is quite stupid. If not for his wealth, I am sure his wife would stand by his side. I hope this man loses everything for betraying his family and the citizens of New York.

There was talk of him running in the future for president. At least America knew Bill Clinton was morally corrupt before voting for him. Spitzer was portrayed as super clean. This is the ultimate mistrust.

Good bye to the disgrace of New York State!

Feel free to share your opinion by leaving a comment.

Is Today the End for Hillary?

Many are predicting that this is do or die for Hillary Clinton today as this is being dubbed Super Tuesday 2. Clinton needs at least these two states and more to gain back some much needed delegates.

Will she do it?

I am not sure because the country seems to be Obamasized at the moment. I still believe she is the best person for the job, however, it is looking slimmer and slimmer that she will win. I do not think Obama has what it takes to lead the nation, he is too inexperienced. I do not think he will have a chance to beat McCain and I fear another four years of a George Bush clone.

Our only real hope is for Hillary Clinton to win and restore some much needed common sense and brains to the White House.

What is your opinion?

Review of Video Poker Classic Casino

I love to play games on-line. Other countries, you can play for real money.

Video Poker is one of the most popular games around and VPS offers one of the best Video Poker games available. Of course, they do not just have poker; they offer several games including many 3D games that bring the action alive. Their Latest Games include a 3D Horse Racing game, Pontoon, 3D Arctic Adventure, and Football Shootout. They have over 90 games for fun or you can play for real money and they are always adding new games to their selections.

I did look at other features of this site. VPC offers live customer support. This is important when you are playing for real money. If something goes wrong, you want help now not hours later when someone checks their email. They offer many promotions and bonuses and reward loyal players similar to what regular casinos offer. They even have a refer a friend program where you can earn money for every friend you refer and they sign up for a real money account.

The site lists a certificate of 11 years best Video Poker which shows that the casino has been in business for quite a while. This is crucial when you are talking about gambling with real money. The website supports all languages but does not allow United States and Canadian Residents to gamble with real money due to recent regulations passed by both countries.

Of all the on-line sites I have been to, this ranks at the top. If you choice to play for free, you can do so without any downloading. If you want to play for real money, you can download the software quickly and get playing before you know it. The bonuses rank as some of the best in the business and they are not just a one time bonus, they continue as log as you stay as a member.

If you are looking for fun and entertainment without leaving your home, this website offers it all in one place. I am hooked on the Video Poker and I am sure you will be if you take the time to check out this fun thrilling on-line casino.

Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and we are committed to safeguarding your privacy while online at our site http://soundoffaboutpolitics.com/.

These are the practices we use here at out blog:

Cookies:
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s computer tied to information about the user. However, when he was questioned by Peter Maer, a CBS Radio reporter, about the experts predicting a $4 per gallon gas price, Bush was in total shock. He stated that he had not heard that one before. This was dispute the fact that it has been in many major newspapers around the nation. Does he live in a bubble. Is he really that stupid or clueless?

I think it proves that Bush is far removed from the everyday man who has to live pay check to pay check and who are facing harsh times as food, gas, and all prices are reaching an all-time high. Coming from a wealthy family, maybe he is not schooled in the art of looking at prices and only being able to afford the bare accessories in life. Maybe that is why he has done such a shitty job at helping the average American and he thinks his little rebate checks will fix the dire needs of many middle and lower class Americans.

I think Bush's reaction clearly sends the message for those who were not sure! We are planning a political party at our local recreation hall and were looking for games that can be played by our friends. Since I was in charge of entertainment, I decided to look on the Internet for ideas that would attract the people who were coming. I ran across a place that sells Portable Beer Pong Tables. I remember this game from my college days and many of my friends like their beer.

I thought it would be a great way to get support for our candidate while still having a great time. I decided to look at what they had to offer. I was excited to see that they offer Custom Beer Pong Tables for very reasonable prices. I also liked the designs they offered but I wanted my own design put on the table. There tables seemed like they were well built and had the features I was looking for. The fact that they were portable made it easy to set up and take down once we were done.

I have am having a custom design created for the table and then I will be placing my order for this table. I was pleased to see the tables have grips to keep the cups from falling. The tables are light in and very easy to carry and store them anywhere. They also offer quick shipping and I compared prices and they offer great prices.

I provided the links to the site for you to check out for yourself if you too are interested in spicing up your party a bit.

Economy Is The Major Issue

If you are like me, you are worried first and foremost about the economy. What is the next president going to do to improve the economy? Is it even possible for the president to fix the economy?

The problem with any politician is that you hear words and more words but very little action when they get the job they are seeking. I do not want words, I want action. Barrack Obama has many words. He speaks of uniting the country, hope, dreams, and crushing the old political regime. Dreams and hope are great. We all need to look for a better tomorrow; however, we have the reality of today. Give me clear ideas on how you are going to make my life as a middle class American more affordable. Gas prices are up, food is through the roof, fuel oil is cutting us deep, and health cost is so crazy that we can not afford to get sick. What dream will fix this; we need solid fixes not dreams.

Hillary Clinton has addressed the economy many times. Of course she points out all the things that are wrong but does not offer up a clear plan to fix it. Words and more words about what is wrong and what needs to be fixed but give me a plan we can sink our teeth in.

You move on to John McCain, the great Republican hope. By listening to him, it is clear his plan is to follow the Bushism plan of spend more on Iraq while trying to hand out crumbs to us poor middles class Americans. He flip flops on issues and changes to say what he thinks people want to hear.

I see very little clearly laid out policies and nothing but words. Are we voting for the most popular as is the case with Obama’s charm or the only feasible as is the case of John McCain or are we going to vote on who we think can get the job done. I love to dream and I look for great hope but in reality, we need a person who can get their hands dirty and get the job done.

Review of 2Insure4Less

The following is a sponsored review:

One of biggest problems for many small businesses is finding adequate insurance and also finding the best prices. The website 2Insure4Less is all a site where you can not only read articles about various insurance topics, you can also get direct quotes for your needs.

Business Insurance is one of the major costs in doing business. Being informed is important to help cut these cost. I was very interested in what this site may have to offer when I was asked to write a review for this website.

The first thing I noticed was that the site had a nice lay out. It was clear where to go for the different quotes. This site is not selling insurance; it is a tool to finding the best prices for your business insurance needs. They have eight different insurances that they provide you a quote from several different companies. The service is free and provides you with a basic price to compare from several insurance companies.

Besides the ability to get quotes, this company offers several insurance article to help you in deciding what your company needs in the way of insurance. I was impressed how well written the articles were and that they included all the information a business owner would need without overwriting. They truly provide a wealth of information.

Upon checking out this company, I am pleased that they offer such a service free to business owners. It would save tons of time searching for quotes one by one. By reading through their articles, they seem to know their business and never claim to be an insurance company. The site is user friendly and does not try to sell you on any particular product. They simply provide you several quotes so you can make a well informed decision.

As far as free tools for business owners, I rate this high on my list. It provides a much needed service that is both helpful to the business owner and the insurance companies who are selling business insurance. In one of the most historical events in history, we will either have a woman or a black man as the nomination for one of the two top political parties in the United States. It is both historical and interesting to see these two compete for the nomination.

I have made no secret here that I support Hillary. I still deep down do not think Obama is ready and I believe he will not be up for the job. However, I wonder what my readers think. Please participate in my poll so I can get a general idea what my readers think.

Who will win the Democratic Primary?

Barrack Obama

Hillary Clinton

Do not care

I'm a Republican

View the results

Can Clinton Beat McCain?

Well it seems John McCain has clinched the Republican nomination. There is no way for Huckabee to catch him now. All the other candidates have dropped out and he just received the endorsement from the senior George Bush.

While McCain is cruising along, the two Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama are still attacking each other. It seems more and more likely that the nomination will be decided by the super delegates. The buzz in the news is that most of them are projected to vote for Clinton. This could cause some major problems with in the party.

If Obama wins most of the normal delegates and most of the popular votes and Clinton wins the nomination, it will annoy the Obama supporters enough to not vote for Clinton. If this happens, she will be easy pickings for Mccain.

The other problem is that the Republican party makes up a large portion of voters and many are white men. Many of these men would never vote for a woman. This once again gives another disadvantage to Clinton. If she loses any support from her own party and most of the Republican party supports McCain, does she have any chance to win?

As you know from following my blog, I have supported Hillary Clinton and i still hope to see her win. I think she can do great things as President. However, if she can not even get the full support of the Democratic party, I have my doubts that she can win in November.

A loss in November means that we will see at least four more years of Bushism like policies. No chance that the Iraq war will end and no real long term solution to help out the economy.

I still think Hillary is the better choice between Obama and her but I have my doubt if either candidate can win in November. It is the time that the Democratic party regroups and gets on the same page and back one candidate or all chances in November are lost. Too much negative campaigning from both Obama and Clinton has torn a hole in the party. I urge the whole party to get behind Clinton for President.

Brand Identity Guru Inc Review

I was recently hired to do a review of a name branding company and their website so the following is a paid review:

I recently visited this Marketing Company on the Internet and I am going to share my review of the website and their services. My first impression was that I was impressed with their design. I started getting confused about what was what and it took a few minutes to figure out what they were offering for sure.

Once I got my bearings and started looking around, I was impressed with all they had to offer. They offer just about anything needed to get your company or your website branded.

The first item I checked out was their Free Website Analysis. If you submit your website, they give you a full analysis report of you website for SEO purposes. They claim that it is done by a SEO expert. At the price of free, I think it is worth the shot. They state that they include information for your site about :
SEO Content
SEO Architecture
PageRank Evaluation
Backward Links Evaluation
Competitive Analysis
Key Word Penetration
Content Evaluation
Competing Web Pages
Strategic Linking Structure

They also include information about where your site ranks in the search engines. This looks like a great offer for free. However, I was not happy with all the information they require to get this report. They require your address, company name, phone number, and more. I guess it is a way to get your information so they can try to sell you services. I think free should be free, but I guess this is a typical marketing practice for many companies.

Of course this was just a small part of the services offered on their site. They have a staff of 15 people who seem to have a large amount of experience. Their experience levels range from 7 years to 30 years in their respective field. Brand Identity Guru Inc has been around for 15 years and is located in Boston. The impressive thing is they have a real address and a phone number along with their on-line contact information.

They have many services to get your company or product branded. From marketing strategies to web designing, they offer a range of services. Their experts state that they will do an analysis of your company and let you know the best marketing approach to take. They also have a large portfolio of their past services including many logos that they have designed.

Unless I missed it, there were no prices listed for any of their services, it just says to call. I am one who likes to see some idea of what I am looking at in terms of prices before I call. I know that prices vary by what you want but I think base pricing should be included on their site.

Overall, I was very impressed with their appearance and the many years of experience they seem to have. My big gripes were the confusion of what was what on the website and the fact that there was no pricing listed. However, if I was a company looking for a good way to brand my name, this would be for sure one of the places that I take a look at.

Review of Promote Your Vote Website

The following review is a paid review:

With the upcoming Presidential Elections and the heated primaries going on, many are looking for ways to show their support to their own candidate. John Edwards has bowed out leaving it a tough battle between the other two top contenders.

Front runner Hillary Clinton hopefully will pick up Edwards support and be the first woman president. I said it months ago and I restate it now, it is time for a woman to get a shot at being the leader of the greatest nation in the world.

I have nothing against Obama personally; however, I think he is too inexperienced and I do not think he has a chance to defeat the Republicans in the General Election. He talks a good game but his youth and charm will not return to the White House the respect that we so desperately need.

As Senator, Hillary has proved herself to be both a go getter and a tough no nonsense woman. As a New York state resident, I am both impressed with her job for our state and also I am looking forward to casting both my primary and general election vote her way.

We need a leader who has both experience and can earn the respect of the world. George bush has gotten us into a mess and we need someone to take the reins that can fix and restore America to the glory it deserves. Men have had years to run this nation and we are one of the few industrialized nation to never have a woman in the top leadership position.

I urge you to join me in making history by voting for the first woman president in the history of the United States.

UK Property News

Bad economic times are not exclusive to the United States. In the United Kingdom, they are facing similar problems because of a declining market and a rise in cost of living. UK Property News is scary right now as the government struggles to do something about the increasing demand on the home market and the ability for people to be able to afford to live.

As with many of us in the United States, home owners are looking for ways to afford the mortgage loans along with the rising cost of living. While some parts of the UK are facing a rise in population and lack of housing, other parts are in a declining market and people who need to sell their homes are struggling to find a buyer. One way to alleviate those problems is through Quick House Sales. You find an investor willing to buy your home for a lower price but you sell quickly. The investor buys in hope of a market upturn and a nice profit. This is a great way to rid yourself of a home if you need to move or have found the property of your dreams and can not afford two mortgages.

UK property news is dismal right now but as with any economy, it is cyclic and will rebound in time. The question is, can we all survive financially till it does?

My Plunge Into Politics

Well I have been interested in politics for quite a while and I have studied and wrote about politics for a while. It is time for me to try my hand at running for office. This year I am starting my own campaign. I am running for a New York Town Justice in my local township. Though it is a small step into the political world, for me it is entering uncharted territory.

I have debated my best course because politics are mainly controlled by the two parties Democrats and Republicans but I have decided to hold true to my beliefs and run as an Independent. It is a little rough to go it alone but also makes for a better candidate because I owe allegiance to only the voters not a major party. I am hoping for the best but to me integrity means more than if I win or lose.

Wish me luck and I will keep all the readers informed.

If I can inspire no more in my readers, please get out and vote. Most people wait for the major elections but your vote counts more for the local elections than they do for the presidential election. Get out and let your voice be heard!

Running Out of Gas

Are we running out of gas? Is there a major shortage? Or is the recent gas prices another attempt by the oil companies to line their silk pockets?

With gas prices over $3 a gallon and rising, many people are feeling the pains of this. My wife and I both commute to work over 65 miles a day. This is a strain that we just can't take much longer. Gas prices rise fast when oil prices increase but barely move when oil prices drop. Over the last few years oil companies have made all-time record profits while the rest of us suffer. According to a recent news article, Americans are paying over a $1000 a year more in gas cost than just five years ago. This is crazy!

Congress is planning to look into a way to ease the prices but we all know how fast that works out. If they did come up with a good plan big George would most likely veto it to protect his friends and family in the oil business.

How much will the increased gas prices affect your summer vacations? How much will it affect your everyday driving?

Al Sharpton: A Biggot?

I wonder how it feels for Al Sharpton to come under attack for comments he made. He has always been one of the first men on the front lines claiming a bigot or racist comment should be fought against. In the recent problems with Imus, Sharpton was one of the men fighting for him to lose his job. Well now Sharpton is the cross hairs, how does it feel?

I am not a huge politically correct person, I say what I mean and say what I feel. However, when you spend your whole life accuses other people you deserve what you get when you make off color comments. In a recent debate with atheist Christopher Hitchens, Al Sharpton made these comments, "As for the one Mormon running for office, those who really believe in God will defeat him anyways, so don't worry about that; that's a temporary situation." Of course he was referring to Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney who is a Mormon. Well Romney is firing back by calling Sharpton a bigot. I say if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck then it is a duck. Al Sharpton appears to me to be a bigot.

Of course Sharpton says his comments were taken out of context, I say tough s**t, how many men have you tried to ruin for the very same reason. Please don't hold others to a higher standard than you are willing to hold yourself to. Maybe big Al, it is time for you to climb down off your soapbox and resign from your radio show. Live by your own rules and fall by them too.

Please as always feel free to share your opinion and comments!

Number 11 for the GOP Race ?

Latest talk is that former Senator Fred Thompson is a wanted man. He is wanted by the GOP supporters who are not happy with their other then candidates. Will he be the next actor to make it to the White House? He seems to have the support of some former Reagan supporters. Is this just a media ploy by his people or is he really ready to run?

I do not like any of the GOP candidates so far. I think Rudy Giuliani is a little too pompous and is riding the wave of 9/11 a bit too far. I once liked McCain because of his all American hero persona but I noticed that it was more hype than reality. I like Thompson as a candidate because of his tough firm speaking ability. He does hold a great amount of respectability like that once held by Ronald Reagan. Even when you did not agree with Reagan, you normally respected him. Maybe Thompson could be the man to bring that respect back to the White House. We all know that the office of president could use some respect because over the last few years, we as Americans and the world overall have lost a lot of respect for the position.

It will be interesting to watch over the next few weeks and I may have to revamp my prediction for the 2008 Presidential Race if Thompson chooses to run.

Fort Dix Scare!

It is scary to think that our troops may be in danger right here in the heart of our nation. Islamic radicals planned to kill soliders at Fort Dix in New Jersey. This is a bit close to home for many. To me this just seems a waste of time for everyone. It continues to be a pissing match taht nobody is winning. We have what is suppose to be very intelligent leaders in Washington, however, they can't sit down and come up with an agreement among them. There is no doubt that the Iraq qar has lost support by most Americans. I think the president should be a true leader and give us a timetable for withdrawl from Iraq. This crap about sending more and more soliders is doing nothing to protect those troops that are being killed everyday.

I say to all the members of Congress and Bush this, " Do the damn job you were elected to do, act like adults and not playground bullies, and work out a plan taht everyone can agree on to end this war!"

I encourage everyone who reading this to bombard the White House and Congress with emails demanding they work out an agreement!

Please share your comments if you agree or disagree with me.

Hillary in 2008

If the first Democratic debate last night was any sign, I think there was no question who will be the Presidential Candidate for the Democrats. Obama looked a bit young and a little wet behind the ears. I live in an area where we have a military base that sends a large majority of soldiers to Iraq. Today when reading the news, one of the soldiers killed was one of my students from last year stepfather. This hits to the heart of the problem in Iraq, our men and women are sitting targets and the ones killed tragically leave behind families who have a hard time picking up the pieces. Here is the story provided by http://www.wwnytv.net/ :

Confirmed: Staff Sergeant Killed in Iraq Wednesday, April 25, 2007, 1:51pm
A staff sergeant assigned to the 10th Mountain Division was killed Saturday in
Iraq, Fort Drum confirmed Wednesday. Steven R. Tudor, 36, was transportation
non-commissioned officer assigned to Company F, 210th Brigade Support Battalion,
2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division. Tudor and two other soldiers
from his unit were injured in the attack on "his forward operating base,"
according to a Fort Drum press release. Tudor later succumbed to the wounds he
sustained in the attack. He deployed to Iraq with his unit in August 2006. A
native of Dunmore, Pa., SSG Tudor entered the Army in July 1989 and completed
basic and advanced individual training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. His first
assignment was with 4th Battalion, 32nd Armor Regiment stationed in Germany.
During this assignment, he participated in Operation Desert Storm, the
liberation of Kuwait. In August 1991, he was first assigned to Fort Drum as part
of the 10th Supply and Transport Battalion, 10th Mountain Division where he
served until being reassigned to 2nd Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment at Camp
Casey, Korea. Tudor was assigned to Fort Riley, Ks., in May 1995 and then to
Fort Storey, Va., in May 1996. He was reassigned to Germany in January 1999 when
he served with the 1st Infantry Division at Kitzingen, Germany. He returned to
the North Country in January 2002 and was assigned to the 710th Corps Support
Battalion and later the 210th Corps Support Battalion. We are losing everyday; sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, uncles, aunts! When will the killing end? Is New York ready to be the second state to legalize gay marriages. It was a hotly debated issue when Massachusetts was the first state to do so. It caused the hairs of the conservative Republican party to stand up on end. Bush even wanted to make a Constitutional Amendment making it illegal throughout the Nation.

It you have read much about me, you will know that I am all for true freedom and against the over bearing government. However, I am not sure how I stand on this one. Homosexual behavior is not something I am in favor, however, I am a big believer in freedom of choice. I say if Spitzer can get it passed than who am I to stand in the way.

Please chime in and let me know what you think of this. He asked the president to come up with an alternative plan to the Democrats time table to remove the troops. Bush stands by his right to veto any measure.

Bush in my opinion is still fighting a war that should not have happened! We went into Iraq for the wrong reason. We went into Iraq with wrong information and we the people were lied to right up to the point that the truth came out.

I am not saying we should never have went after the cowards who caused 9/11, however; that should not have given Bush the free hand to fight any nation that is on his radar. The war in Iraq has now become nothing more than a political pissing match to see who has the biggest balls. While both sides fight a battle of politics, our men and women sit in harms way everyday. It is time to come together, agree on a date to withdraw and let the nation recover from its second Vietnam type disaster.

Please feel free to let me what you think. For how long?

Another round of attacks aimed at the removal of Attorney General Gonzales. This time the attack is coming from the Republican side. Many of the top leaders from the party are starting to question the reasoning behind Bush not firing Gonzales.

I watched the hearings this past week where Gonzales testified before Congress. I have to say at best he looked clueless at worst he looked like he was lying through his teeth. If he was as clueless as he seemed to imply, is this the man we want as the top law enforcement agent in the United States. On one hand he claimed responsibility and on the other he stated he did not know what was going on. Senator Arlen Specter from PA opened his remarks at the hearing with encouraging words for Gonzales to tell the whole truth. Later he outright accused Gonzales of not telling the truth. I do not understand why Bush would want to stand by this man much like he did with Donald Rumsfeld.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich chimed in this weekend on ABC stating it was time for a whole new team at the Justice Department. Will Bush listen or will he let his own party divide over the issue?

I would admire a president who has undying loyalty if it were not for the men he chooses to be loyal to. I think it time to cut the strings and let Gonzales head back to Texas!

Do you agree or disagree?

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://soundoffaboutpolitics.blogspot.com/2007/04/bush-stands-by-his-man-for-how-long.html' title='Bush stands by his man! I watched as the speeches of condolences were given yesterday. I am not a huge Bush fan but he did give a very well written speech yet he still seems to have that less than genuine look about him when he speaks.

It was great to see how the different religious leaders of the area came together to deliver a unified front to offer some support to these families. All to often we are seeing these kinds of tradgic events unfold in our schools. Were there not any signs of Cho Seung-Hui previous state of mind?

According to recent reports, he had stalked two female students in 2005 and he was also taken to a mental hospital. Those to me should have been signs that this was someone to watch. This is a quote from a news report om Yahoo "Professors and classmates were alarmed by his class writings — pages filled with twisted, violence-drenched writing." These are all signs of someone who is unstable and maybe not fit for being on a college campus.

Could this event been prevented? Nobody knows for sure but I thinks schools need to be more aware of possible unstable people in our schools and take more action to intervene.

You can read more about this unstable man here : http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070418/ap_on_re_us/virginia_tech_shooting

Is Imus Done?

We are now all familiar with the comments made by Imus, the radio personality. It was a stupid comment and yes it did reek of racial indignity, however, is it the first time? Imus is known for his off color comments and his stabs at people. To be honest, isn't that why people listen to the man?

I am not a big fan of Imus, nor do I in anyway condone his words, but let's face it, his job is to get people to listen and he has done that for many many years.
The man has apologized, I say leave it alone. We are in a society that we have freedom of choice. If we decide to listen or not listen, than it is our choice. Let his listeners decide if he stays on the air or not. If people stop listening, then he will be pulled from the air. Otherwise, let it go, we have much more to worry about with the man who holds the power in the White House, leave Imus to the power of the people.

What do you think?
Feel free to leave a comment.

The fire is spreading for Alberto Gonzales

Monica Goodling resigned Friday after refusing to testify in front of Congress. In case you don't know, she was the counselor to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. On March, his chief of staff, Kyle Sampson, resigned and testified that Gonzales knew all about the firings of several federal prosecutors. It seems the Justice House that Bush has built is falling down.

How long will Bush continue to support Gonzales before he throws him out of a speeding car? Even some republicans are starting to question the handling by Gonzales of the firings.

Just like support Bush's support of Donald Rumsfeld, Bush will wake up one day and say the pressure is too much and away will go Gonzales out the door.

How many scandals and disasters can one Presidency handle?

It's time for a few of the Bush horsemen, starting with Gonzales, to resign and return to their home states.
Who know if we get enough, maybe Bush will follow!

Bush Struts while Soldiers Die

George Bush and the congress Democrats are at it gain. Bush threatens to veto any bill that asks for a deadline for troop withdrawal from Iraq. Bush threw it in the face of Congress today by pointing out that his veto could not be overturned because they lacked the two-thirds votes needed to do so. Both sides are throwing mud and accusing each other of causing a delay of funding for the troops. I say both sides can kiss my Red White and Blue Behind! Headlines in my local area shows that eight more soldiers have been killed in Iraq, when will this stop. It is time for both sides to come to an agreement to get our troops out of Iraq.

This political pissing game is doing nothing but causing more troops to die. In the mean time, Bush struts around letting the world that he has the power. Wake-up George! The original founding fathers thought about making the first George (Washington) a king and that idea was shot down. You are not a king and your power is being misused. For once, both sides should do the right thing and bring our troops home from Iraq.

I just want to add, my heart goes out to the families that lost their sons, daughters, mother, fathers, sisters and brothers in the Iraq War. It is funny because he did not get the favor of Giuliani's endorsement in either of his failed presidential runs. These men have such differing views. I liked Forbes when he ran because I support a flat tax. His plan made the most sense of all the flat tax plans out there. The problem with Forbes is that people were turned off by his personality and the fact that he was filthy rich.

I do not agree with his endorsement of Giuliani, however, I do understand it. The pool of possible presidential candidates on the Republicans side is shallow at best. I just do not trust Giuliani and feel that the only reason he is out in the front of the pack is because of his fame earned from the tragedy of 9/11.

If you agree or disagree, leave you opinion.

Update on Attorney General Alberto Gonzales

Well it looks like maybe Gonzales might be standing in a puddle of do crap and no one to pull him out. His former aide testified that his boss knew and was kept informed about the firings of many decorated attorneys in the Justice Department. This after Gonzales has denied any direct involvement in the firings.
Kyle Sampson, Gonzales former Chief Of Staff, testified to the Senate that Gonzales knew what was going on and was kept informed. According to reports, the White House is starting to step away from the burning Attorney General. It is time for Mr. Gonzales to say good bye and step down. I am sure with in a week or two, we will see him do just that. Too bad it wasn't so easy to get G.W. to follow suit and step down. Oh Wait!!! That would leave Cheney in charge, is that better or worse?

Agree or disagree, feel free to leave your comments.

Dems Take a War Stand

In their first official power stand. The Democratic controlled Congress (both Houses) passed a bill requesting a withdrawal date for the troops in Iraq. It passed both houses by a slim margin and Bush in glorious fashion has publicly stated that he will veto the bill. Surrounding by his cronies in congress Bush stands ready to defend his war even with mounting opposition from the American People grows.

At latest count we have lost some 3,200 soldiers to the Iraq war and more are dying each day. At what point does the man look at this and say, "I screwed up, we can't win so let me at least try to clean up the mess." Does the voice of the American People mean nothing any more?

I wish someone with any semblance of intelligence could explain to me and millions of other Americans, including the families of the soldiers who were killed in Iraq, why we are we still there and what we are fighting for.

Iraq

I think I have spoke about this before. It is time to set a deadline for Iraq. Bring home our soldiers and quit leaving them sitting in Iraq as sitting ducks. We are Americans not a bunch of ducks set up as targets. How many more Americans will die before the government takes action. It is time to admit Mr. President, that you got bad information and we are fighting a war in Iraq that we can not win. Maybe just maybe Bush could restore some respect back to the title of president by doing the right thing and bringing our fellow Americans home safe!!

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales

Aright, another fine mess for our esteemed White House. With the firing of top U.S. Attorneys, it begs the big question of why. Most of these attorneys have awesome win records and have great performance reviews. Is Bush trying once again to hide something? Does he not already have enough problems? His administration has caused so many messes that it makes Bill Clinton's little sex scandal pale in comparison. When is enough ENOUGH? Bush, it is time to answer some hard to the American people and it is time to quit playing dirty. Please put some respect in the White House!!

Please join us is getting rid of Gonzales.

Sign the petition to force him to resign.

Support for Hillary Clinton

I just wanted to say that I have reviewed the candidates for President and I am going to throw my support to Hillary Clinton. Right now, I don't trust the chances for the future if we get another Republican in the White House. I do not see a very good candidate in Obama, he is too inexperienced and seems a bit wishy washy for my taste and to be all honest, I just don't like him. Edwards seems like a nice guy, almost too nice. He portrays a goody two shoe image that was beat out in the primaries in 2004. I don't believe he has any shot to win in 2008 or any other time.

We need a president who can get the job and knows the in and out of the government. I urge all of you to support Clinton in her bid for the White House and if you want to support her campaign, I have included a like to donate to Team Hillary.

http://www.hillaryclinton.com/contribute/I5S7

What does the future hold

Well, it has been a while since I have been here but I am back and with a whole outlook.

My first post will deal with the future. What does it hold for us?

We have a while left of the monster in the White House but all is not lost. Or is it? I no longer am sure. We need a change and we need it now. Who will be the next President? My vote as of right now is leaning towards Hillary Clinton!!!

I just hope the nation is ready and willing to finally accept that a woman can run the country.

Gas prices are creeping back up and the fat oil men are getting riches.
